FCC Express Sign –Up Contest 

Contest Rules

1. ELIGIBILITY. To be eligible for this Contest, an individual must be: (i) a legal resident of Canada; (ii) 18 years of age or older; and (iii) fully complete a subscription for FCC Express.  FCC employees, immediate family members of employees and persons domiciled with employees of FCC are not eligible to participate in the Contest. The Contest is void where prohibited by law.

2. HOW TO ENTER. The Contest commences at 12:01 a.m. (Mountain Daylight Time) on November 1, 2011 and closes at 11:59 p.m. (Central Standard Time) on April 30, 2012.  No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest. To enter the Contest, you must fully complete a subscription for FCC Express.  Each fully-completed subscription for FCC Express which is completed by the deadlines specified below (as shown in FCC’s electronic records) will result in one entry into the Contest for the next following Draw Date.

FCC will not be responsible for lost, misdirected, falsified or delayed entries. FCC will not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer lines or networks, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. 

3. PRIZES: There will be six (6) prizes awarded, each consisting of one (1) Apple 32 GB iPad with Wi-Fi (the “Prize”), each having a retail value of approximately $700.00 (taxes included).

Certain restrictions may apply.   The Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash.   FCC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute the Prize for a prize of equal value should all or a part of the Prize become unavailable for any reason. 

4. WINNER SELECTION:

One (1) random draw from all eligible entries received will be made for one (1) Prize at the head office of FCC in Regina, Saskatchewan on each of the following dates and times:

Odds of winning on each Draw Date are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received by the above-noted deadline for each Draw Date.

Notification of selected entrant

The selected entrant will be notified by email (at the email address provided to FCC Express) within seven (7) days of the Draw Date and must respond within seven (7) days of notification by telephone to the contact number provided by FCC.  If the selected entrant does not respond in accordance with the Contest Rules or the selected entrant does not comply with the Contest Rules, he/she will be disqualified and will not receive a Prize and another entrant will be selected. If after three (3) such attempts FCC has not identified a winner, FCC reserves the right to award the Prize to a charity of its choice. FCC is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of selected entrant to receive notification or for FCC to receive selected entrant’s response.

5. WINNER DECLARATION: Before being declared a winner, each selected entrant will be required to (A) sign a waiver confirming compliance with the Contest Rules and acceptance of the Prize as offered and: (i) releasing FCC and its employees, directors and officers from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising out of participation in this Contest or participating in any Prize-related activity or the acceptance, use or misuse of any Prize, including without limitation costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising there from; and (ii) granting FCC the unrestricted right, in its discretion, to publish without any further compensation the name, picture, portrait, likeness, voice and ideas of that entrant for advertising and promotional purposes; and (B) answer a mathematical skill-testing question     The waiver and the answer to the skill-testing question must be returned within seven (7) days of receipt of it by the selected entrant or the selected entrant will be disqualified and the Prize forfeited.   The Prize will be either delivered to the winner by FCC staff or sent via courier to the winner, both at the address provided by the winner to FCC.

6. CONDUCT: By entering this Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules, which will be available by sending a letter request along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Farm Credit Canada (Attention: Charmaine Froese, Marketing Program Manager), P.O. Box 4320, 1800 Hamilton Street, Regina, SK, S4P 4L3. FCC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant it finds to be: (a) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or the Form; (b) violating the Contest Rules; (c) violating the terms of service, conditions or use and/or general rules or guidelines of any FCC property or service, or (d) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, FCC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO IMMEDIATELY TERMINATE THE USER’S ENTRY, IF ANY, AND SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

7. WINNERS LIST. For the names of the Prize winners, available after May 9, 2012, send a letter request along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Farm Credit Canada (Attention:  Charmaine Froese, Marketing Program Manager), P.O. Box 4320, 1800 Hamilton Street, Regina, SK, S4P 4L3.

8. LAWS. These are the official Contest Rules. This Contest is subject to the laws of Canada and any applicable laws of the province in which the contest is held. In Quebec, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a Prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.

9.
